About Rob


Rob Panepinto is an innovator who has always challenged the status quo of “good enough,” always striving to make a difference. He has lived or worked in Orange County for more than two decades, leading Central Florida to the future through his devoted volunteer work and experienced business acumen.

Rob Panepinto is President of Florentine Strategies. Florentine provides board support, strategic consulting, and investment capital for healthcare, social enterprise and technology companies.

Rob is also the CEO and co-founder of Entrepreneurs in Action (EIA). EIA leverages the expertise of business and entrepreneurial leaders to support nonprofit and for-profit social enterprises through pro bono consulting and the launch of a social venture investment to provide growth capital for social enterprises.

Rob is the CEO and Board Chair of the Central Florida Social Enterprise Accelerator. The CFSEA is a partnership between the Central Florida Foundation, Rollins College, Downtown Credo, Clean the World and Entrepreneurs in Action. The nonprofit CFSEA provides mentorship and funding for early-stage nonprofits and social enterprises, helping them create successful businesses that create jobs and help address community and global social issues.

Throughout the years, Rob has helped Orange County become a hub for technology, entrepreneurship, and creativity. Rob is passionate about the positive impact businesses and business leaders drive for their communities and is an active “civic entrepreneur” serving on multiple civic and nonprofit boards.

Rob is the immediate past chair of Orlando, Inc. and is a Founding Member of the Executive Committee and a Vice Chair for the Orlando Economic Partnership. He is also the Chair of the Central Florida Foundation, the Community Foundation for the Central Florida area. Rob is also the Treasurer for Canvs, a nonprofit shared working space supporting startups, and the FireSpring Fund, a nonprofit seed capital fund for early stage technology companies. Rob serves on the Board for the Rollins’ Center for Advanced Entrepreneurship. Rob also served as an appointed Citizens Representative of the Operating Committee of the Central Florida Expressway Authority. He has served on the board of the Central Florida Zoo since 2007 and is a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO).

Previously, Rob was part of the Founding Executive team for Connextions, helping it grow from a small manufacturing and logistics company to an innovative leader in healthcare technology and business processing solutions with over 5,000 employees. Connextions was acquired by Optum, part of UnitedHealth Group, in 2011.

Rob received his undergraduate degree from New York University and earned his Masters degree from Fordham University.

Rob has been happily married to his wife, Stacey, for 26 years. Rob and Stacey live in Winter Park with their two daughters, Ali, 16, and Samantha, 13.

Central Florida Social Enterprise Accelerator CEO and Board Chair

Rob was a key catalyst in getting the Accelerator off the ground, which helps emerging social enterprise build a better community and create new jobs.

Central Florida Foundation Board Chair

Rob has been a Board leader for the Foundation, a community leader and innovator in addressing key social issues for our community, through solutions such as the Homeless Impact Fund to that created a Housing First approach to solve homelessness in our region; and the Better Together Fund, which continues to support those impacted by the Pulse tragedy.

Rob plays a strategic role at OEP and Orlando, Inc. OEP is a nonprofit public/private partnership that provides Central Florida with quality jobs, economic growth, broad-based prosperity and a sustainable quality-of-life. Rob also is immediate past chair of Orlando, Inc., our city chamber, which is specifically focused on strengthening our local businesses from small businesses to our largest corporations.

Central Florida Expressway Authority Operations Committee Member

Rob supported the CFEA’s goals to improve customer service and drive operational and financial efficiency as a Citizens Representative to the CFEA Operations Committee. The CFEA is responsible for construction, maintenance, and operation of toll roads in Greater Orlando.
